Winners again! 2nd Place for Roxana and 1st Place (public vote) for Cory!

Congratulations to Roxana and Cory for winning the Animation Magazine competition this year!  The dynasty continues!  Thanks to everyone who made the effort to put together a design (or four!) and submit it.  Showing up is half the battle and even if your design didn't get picked, it's still a great thing to show off.  We'll be doing this again next year so start sketching now!

On-line Voting for this year's Reader's Choice

Here's an email from Animation Mag:

We are happy to announce the Pitch Party is now open to voting online. The link is: http://www.animationmagazine.net/pitch-party-2011-vote/

Remember, you can only vote once, and voting will be up from Monday, June 20 to Sunday, June 26.

The pitches/ballots are going to the judges this week and we will notify the winner around the end of the month. We will make an announcement in the newsletter the beginning of July and the issues will be mailed to you around the 2nd week of July.

Good luck and thanks again!!

Best wishes!

Here they are!

Congratulations to Samantha, Melissa (twice!), Cory, Jen and Roxana!

Close runners-up are: Calamity Janie (Roxana), Monster Ranch (Samantha) and To The Max (Roxana again!)

The fantastic judges who sent me their picks were: Sarah Airriess, Emily Mullock, Ridd Sorensen and Colin Jack!  Thank you very much for your help even though you're all so busy with your own work.

Animation Magazine will publish in August (SIGGRAPH issue!)

And the winners are.....

We had three great judges who chose the winners (I asked for each of their top six and then did the math).  The winners are:

Marco and Polo
Carl
Fat Girl Mystery Club
VA Team
Witch Hazel
Herald's Worst Day Ever

Congratulations to everyone!  I'll be in touch with the winners about delivering the final art to me before the real deadline.  Thanks to everyone who entered and for the devotion to the design work!

It took me almost a week, but I finally came up with the write up. Couldn't find the right words for the life of me.

Probably the last one from me.

some ideas

I wish I could do more this was fun.

DEADLINE is WEDNESDAY, June 8th

Yikes, I messed up the day/date.  The right info was the date, the 8th, which is tomorrow noon (Thanks Roxy for spotting that and letting me know!).  So if you need more time, go for it.  I'm really impressed with the level of work and the number of entries.  Good luck!

Don

Still fiddling with the pitch line for this one but I put it up just in case I don't get to it in time.

I'm working with the theory that if I do up a few I might get one in...

I have two versions for Sweater Boy... I'm not sure which one I like better...

Someone please let me know if the colors look weird, my monitor's being a pain in the butt D:

Another one from me!

Herald's Worst Day Ever!

If I have time, I might reword the second half of the pitch but for now, here it is!
